Visit Ireland on this customized story telling journey. Located off the north-western coast of the European mainland in Western Europe, you will have a chance to explore the North and South visiting county Derry in the North and the counties of Dublin, Galway, Kerry and Clare in the South. Steeped in oral tradition, learn about the importance of storytelling in keeping the stories of past generations alive while also capturing your own life’s story as you journey across the Emerald Isle.

Program Highlights
• 12 days & 10 nights
• Enjoy the local cuisine including a cooking class, dining at a local pub and lunch at a local brewery in Derry.
• Journey back in time and learn about the Great Famine, Irish Emigration, Genealogy and rural living as you explore The National Archives, Museum of Irish Emigration, Ulster American Folk Park and The Strokestown Famine Museum.
• Immerse yourself into the local sights and sounds of Ireland through walking tours, home visits and sharing stories with folks you meet along the way.

Cultural Immersion

• Visit some of the most incredible sites Ireland has to offer including Giant’s Causeway and Cliffs of Moher, Gap of Dunloe and the Dingle Peninsular.
• Visit the home of one of Ireland’s greatest poets, Seamus Heaney. He won a Nobel Prize in Literature for his many works.

Community & Personal Connections

• Give back during a community service activity at WAVE Trauma Center. This grass roots community organization helps bereaved families deal with the loss of a loved one due to violence during the troubles in Northern Ireland.

• Spend time each day creating your own Ethical Will, your life’s unique story guided by Eileen Kerlin Walsh whose life’s passion is to help people leave a legacy of love for their families.

Eileen Kerlin Walsh is the founder of Kerlin Walsh Law. She is an instructor for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and a law lecturer and career mentor for Moraine Valley Community College. Eileen serves as a facilitator and Sher Success Teams producer/host for the TV show “Where the Road Rises” and is the creator of Sharemylegacy.com™ Storytelling Tutorial and Travel Experience. She is the author of the award-winning Back Pocket Skills™ Personal Growth Program. Eileen and her darling Tom have four noisy, delightful boys and a Goldendoodle named Sailor.
